Interaction; it was something that she hadn’t had in awhile. It was like she didn’t know how to talk to people anymore. She always put herself in her room, in solitude. If a Toad dare to intrude on her, they would most likely see how broken she was. She would have to leave, like him.
She cautiously took a step forward. It wasn’t her usual bounce in which she would happily greet the man (Or insult him in some way, seeing how this was Wario), but a more mature step. A step that seemed like something was following her, and would lunge at her at any given moment because it was hungry.
She raised her palm and wiggled her fingers in greeting. “Hello, Wario…”
Wario could tell. She seemed pale, like she hadn’t seen the sun in a very long time- something that was definitely unnatural for a princess whose kingdom mostly consisted of desert. She seemed less casual than she used to be. And, of course, the years didn’t seem to do her well- not that they’d treated Wario any better.
And, following that, he knew it would be a bad idea to make it seem like he knew anything was wrong. Therefore, he decided not to point it out- playing ignorant wasn’t hard for him.
“Heh. It’s-a been a while. Then again, we never talked much to begin with.” Now he smirked a bit.
